In the September 2010 issue of Tactical Response Magazine an article was published detailing a summary of a Field Test conducted by Tactical Response of five different CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear), APR (Air Purifying Respirator) Masks from Avon, Drager, MSA, Scott, and Sperian.

Officers from across the country rated them on criteria including Initial Fit, Compatibility, Practical Use, Tactical Use, and Scalable (ability to be able to be upgraded with electronic speaking diaphragm,ability to accept SCBA, ability to accept forced filtered air).
